When visiting Disney World, you are probably looking forward to the exciting rides and spectacular shows that the house of Mickey has in store for you. But do you know that aside from these wonderful things, you can also look forward to cooling off. The fact is, Disney World has two major water parks that would have you jumping back into the water the whole day. Whether you're staying at the Disney Orlando hotels or in an Orlando Hotel, you will surely have a grand time when you visit these water parks.

Blizzard Beach Water Park

One of the two water parks in the house of mouse is Blizzard Beach Water Park. What you'd love about this place is that it has the tallest and fastest free-falling water slides in the world. If you're not daring enough to try those, there are kid-friendly slides and rides that would enable you to enjoy the park fully. There's even a snow-castle fountain play area where you and the kids would goof and play around. Other attractions include raft rides, wave pool, Tike's Peak, and toboggan slides. If you are going here during your stay in Disney Orlando hotels or during your visit to the theme park, it would be advisable to rent a locker where you can put your personal belongings. It's difficult to keep track of your things especially with the hundreds of people plunging on the pools of the park. It is also recommended that you wear water shoes or flip-flops so you can climb the slide stairs or walk around the pools with ease. There are guest services around this water park in case you need assistance for anything. If you're staying at Disney Orlando hotels, you can take advantage of the free shuttle service.

Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

The other water park is called Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, which spells the ultimate in family fun. The park is filled with speedy water slides, raft rides, and the 6-foot waves in the Surf pool. There's even the exhilarating snorkel Shark Reef that has real live sharks. Just like in the previous water park, you need to rent a locker, wear flip-flops or water shoes, and check out the guest services if you have any query or concern. You can also get to this park by riding the free shuttle service that travels around the theme park or to the Disney Orlando hotels to the water parks. If you are staying in outside Orlando hotels, it would be best to choose a hotel that offers free shuttle service to Disney World.

Going to the water parks would surely be heaps of fun for you and your family. Aside from being able to cool off and refresh, it would also be great for you to have some time off the crowded park. It's advisable to come here during the hottest hours of the day so you don't have to be toasted under the sun's heat in the theme park.
